The Real Miss BabyDee brings Wilcox, Alabama to life for Homecoming and proves the grind never stops

Wilcox, AL — The Real Miss BabyDee turned her hometown into a full-blown celebration this past weekend, bringing the entire city of Wilcox out for Homecoming. The Alabama native, born Derrica Hicks, showed exactly what happens when persistence, confidence, and pure grind collide. From small-town roots to packed crowds screaming her lyrics word-for-word, BabyDee is living proof that hard work pays off. The streets, the schools, and even the local OGs were outside to celebrate one of their own — a true Southern success story who hasn’t forgotten where she came from.
Now based in Dallas, Texas, TheRealmiss BabyDee has built a loyal following across the South with her unapologetic sound and down-to-earth energy. Known for standout singles like “Passed Around,” “Tip Me While I Twerk,” “White Teeth” (featuring Dem Franchise Boyz), and her latest fan-favorite “Catch Up,” BabyDee has become one of the most consistent and fearless women in the game. Her 2025 album Texas Bama made noise across multiple states, bridging her Wilcox roots with Dallas hustle — and solidified her as a powerhouse voice for real Southern women.

Co-signed by industry vet Bigga Rankin, and inspired by women like Lil Kim and Glorilla, BabyDee continues to define what it means to be a real Southern woman in hip-hop. Her return home wasn’t just a visit — it was a victory lap. Fans packed out venues, cars lined the backroads, and the energy made it clear: she’s not just rapping anymore — she’s representing.
“What’s going to separate me is my authenticity,” says BabyDee. “I’m a new sound, and I’m putting on for the Deep South.”
From Wilcox to Dallas, the grind never stops — and neither does The Real Miss BabyDee.
